Jack Abell secured their 5th win in a row with a 9-4 victory over the Red Sox at Ort field on Saturday.
Dispite some rare defensive lapses, Abell was able to battle back from an early deficit to get the win. After trailing 1-0 in the second inning, Abell grabbed the lead thanks to a 3 run home run by Brook Kniereim. Nate Condor led off the inning with a sharp single and was moved to second on a walk. Nate was eventually thrown out at the plate, but Knieriem came up with two on and two out and delivered a drive over the left field fence to give the team a lead.
Abell broke the game open in the fourth with 5 more runs. Colton Civic and Josh Van Meter had big hits during the inning to give Jack Abell a large lead. After a few defensive lapses late, Abell hung on to secure it's 5th straight victory. Van Meter and Jack Hawkins did not give up an earned run in the victory.
